Welcome to Macedonia and the Balkan!
Here are some highlights and details of your vacation destination.
Your tour highlights include visits to 3 Balkan Countries, Republic of Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria. You will visit Skopje, the Capital of Republic of Macedonia and the birthplace of St. Mother Teresa. The home of the tallest cross in the world (66m) The Millennium Cross!
You will also visit the UNESCO world heritage site, Lake and Town of Ohrid, also known as the Jerusalem of the Balkans. This is one of the few UNESCO protected sites for natural and history world heritage. A visit to one of the best wine regions in the Balkans, with a wine tour at the Stobi winery as well as a visit to the Roman Ancient town with the same name Stobi. A relaxing day at the outdoor Spa in the popular Thermal Springs and Spa in Loutraki (Greece) to recoup, rejuvenate and refresh before continue with your adventure. A shopping dayand overnight stay in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece and their main port of the country. Another UNESKO World Heritage site this time in Bulgaria, the famous 10th Century Rila Monastery.

DAY 1/2 – SKOPJE
Arrival at the Skopje airport and transfer to your hotel. Short introductory tour of the area around your hotel – getting useful hints from your tour guide. Based on the time of arrival the city tour as well as the visit to Millennium Cross can start same day or first thing in the morning after breakfast. Dinner at a hotel and after dinner party in local restaurant with music. * After dinner party optional and not included in your package
Day 2 visit to Matka Canyon and Vrelo cave.
DAY 3 – TETOVO - OHRID
After breakfast leave to Ohrid. Making a stop in Tetovo, the city located at the foot of Shara Mt. Visit one of the most decorated mosque originally built in 1438 and then rebuilt in the 1833. Visit to the Monastery of St. Jovan Bigorski and arrive in Ohrid. Dinner and overnight stay in Ohrid.
DAY 4 – OHRID
Morning sightseeing tour – The short tour starts in front of the statue of St. Cyril and Methodius, and it continues to the Lower gate, the National Museum of Ohrid, the Church of St Sophia, the Roman amphitheatre, the Upper gate, St Clement’s Church of the Holy Mother of God Most Glorious (Sveta Bogorodica Perivleptos), The Icon Gallery, Tsar Samoil’s fortress. A walk throughout the Ohrid Old Bazaar and Farmers Market. Dinner and overnight stay in Ohrid.
DAY 5 – OHRID
After breakfast taking a boat trip to visit the beautiful and one of the most popular sites, The 10thcentury Monastery of St Naum with new Inns built in the last decade that make up the Hotel of Sveti Naum. This amazing mixture of history, culture and nature will keep our attention throughout the day. Lunch brake planned in one of the many restaurants with breathtaking views of the lake and taking a boat back to the city of Ohrid. Dinner and overnight stay in Ohrid.
DAY 6 – OHRID – STOBI WINERY - LOUTRAKI
After breakfast the tour continue to the biggest vinery Stobi where we take a guided tour, wine tasting with extensive lunch menu included. A walk through the history in the Ancient city of Stobi that is nearby the Stobi Winery. Drive to Loutraki, Thermal Spa (Greece) dinner and overnight stay in Loutraki.
DAY7 – LOUTRAKI

Loutraki has a long history in Spa and Thermalism. The water derived from the Loutraki natural thermal springs was characterized as “The Water of Life” since antiquity. The geothermal springs derive from many faults of the coastal area in a 750 m-wide zone. The natural spring hot waters, at the bottom of Mount Geraneia, are discharged from a great mineral depth. Nowadays, visitors enjoy balneology, spa treatments and wellness sessions in a luxurious environment in Loutraki Thermal Spa. Dinner with traditional greek music and overnight stay in Loutraki.
DAY 8 – LOUTRAKI – EDESSA or THESSALONIKI
After a relaxed breakfast a drive and sightseeing tour of the town of Edessa. Waterfalls in Edessa are considered as one of the most impressive natural phenomenon around the world. The river forming this renowned Greek waterfall is Edassios. The city is filled with little bridges and the sound of running water will accompany your strolls around the town. Lunch in Edessa and we are continuing our trip to Thessaloniki for a shopping afternoon and overnight stay.
DAY 9 – THESSALONIKI – RILA MONASTERY - MELNIK
Breakfast in Thessaloniki and start making our way to Melnik and Rila, Bulgaria. Visit to the second UNESCO World Heritage Site on our trip, the 10th century Rila Monastir. We will be making a stop in the smallest city in the world, Melnik and make a visit to Kordopulov’s house and their famous Wine celler. Lunch in local restaurant with local ethnic food. Depending on the flight departure schedule overnight stay in Sofia
DAY 10 – SKOPJE/SOFIA
Depending on the flight schedule transfer to the airport Sofia.
